IBOM POWER LAUDED ON SAFETY, GENERAL WASTE CONTROL

Ibom power Company Limited (IPC) has been commended for its standard work place safety practices and adhering to best practice in general waste control. This commendation was made by the Federal Ministry of Environment during the annual compliance monitory exercise to Ibom plant facility.

In a related development, the Board Chairman of Ibom Power Company Limited, Engr. Etido Inyang has commended the Head, Health Safety and Environment (HSE); Iniobong Udofia and Ibom power staff for their compliance to safety requirements in the work place. He urged the staff to continue cooperating with the HSE department to maintain the company’s safety record.

Engr. Etido Inyang who spoke after his first facility tour of Ibom plant the said “the yard is clean, no booby traps around, we’ve seen the two muster points and we have seen that general work place safety has been observed here at the plant site”.

Similarly the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has lauded Ibom power for maintaining a Zero fatality record since the commissioning of the gas turbines in 2009.
