IBOM POWER URGES GE TO BETTER EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE

The Managing Director (MD) of Ibom Power Company Limited (IPC), Engr. Meyen Etukudo has urged the original equipment manufacturers of Ibom power, General Electric (GE) to implement sustainable measures that will support the success of their customers in Nigeria.

Speaking at a GE frame 9E Gas Turbine Generator Users’ conference in Dubai, the MD among other things enumerated the challenges of Ibom power plant and urged GE to implement solutions based on consideration for the business environment.

The User’s conference which was attended by more than 100 key customers was organized by GE for Users of frame 9E model of their Gas Turbine in the Middle East and Africa. Ibom power was selected from Nigeria to share their User experience along with two other countries from Africa.

The conference included presentations and roundtable discussions on various aspects of power plant operations including digital solutions, improving plant utilization, gas turbine accessories & controls, asset management, maintenance, service & repairs and gas turbine performance.

Also at the Users conference in Dubai were the Deputy Managing Director of Ibom Power, Engr. Nelson Usiere along with Heads of Plant Operations and Maintenance, Aniebiet Umoh and Akan Ekanem.
